In 1946, founder Helmut A. Heine, started HEINE Optotechnik with one goal in mind; to build the highest quality diagnostic instruments available in the world. It was his belief that the highest quality instruments will always best support the health care professional in making the earliest and most accurate diagnosis. For over 70 years, our customers have been able to rely on this promise, and on their HEINE instruments for precise diagnostic performance, unique functionality and long lasting durability.
Today, as a global leader in primary diagnostic instruments with over 500 employees they remain committed to their founding principles. They are still a 100 % family owned and managed company and care deeply about their employees, their customers, and the quality of their products. They continue to develop and manufacture HEINE instruments exclusively at their facilities in Germany, where they combine decades-long experience and craftsmanship with the most modern manufacturing technologies.
Otoscopes
HEINE otoscopes combine exceptional durability with the best representation quality. They are available as a lightweight and mobile pocket otoscope (the mini 3000) up to our high-end otoscope (the BETA 400). All the models, including the BETA 200, are available with either XHL (xenon halogen bulbs) or LED (light-emitting diodes) illumination.
Headlights
A headlight projects light exactly where it is required at any given time. Used in combination with a loupe or on its own, if correctly aligned it delivers shadow-free illumination of the work area.
Topseller in all surgical specialties: The HEINE ML4 LED HeadLight is specially designed for healthcare professionals who need a perfect view during long surgical operations or treatments.
Laryngoscopes
A laryngoscope – also known as a laryngeal mirror – is a medical instrument that is used to view the upper respiratory tract and larynx. It consists of a handle and a curved blade with an integrated light conductor that is inserted into the patient’s mouth to help lift the epiglottis. This enables practitioners to accurately perform procedures, such as placing a breathing tube during endotracheal intubation.
Nowadays, the preferred way of performing laryngoscopy is with a video system, such as the HEINE visionPRO video laryngoscope.
